For those staying in the southern private housing estates, The Rail Mall along Upper Bukit Timah has long served the residents in the area. The trail is known for its rocky terrain of extended uphill climbs and short-interval descents. For those who love hiking, there are a 4 key hiking trails available. The shorter blue trail is 0.7 kilometres long and ends at the Hindhede Quarry. The red trail is 1.2 kilometres long, and it considered an easy route together with the blue trail. The green trail is 1.9 kilometres long, and considered moderately challenging. The yellow trail is the most challenging at 1.8 kilometres long. By following the green, red and yellow trails, hikers can reach the summit of Bukit Timah hill and catch the beautiful view of the city.
Parks To the East And Upper Peirce Reservoir
To the East of Dairy Farm Residences is Zhenghua Park, with strolling and running trails which lead to the Bukit Panjang Park to the North, and the Chestnut Nature Park further East.
